Kids for Kids

The Kids for Kids program is helping people become self-reliant through the gift of livestock. With your donation we buy and distribute goats, chickens, cows, and bulls to many families in Uganda and Kenya.

This livestock provides income that enables whole families to pay for clothes, school tuition, and medicine. Further, livestock gives protein rich milk to drink and meat to eat for better nutrition. The gift of livestock is a seed sown in love and partnership to help a family break the cycle of poverty.

Kids for Kids started as a response to the overwhelming poverty we saw during past mission trips and the desire to help people become self-supporting. We started with gifts of goats to many families in Uganda. We are excited to include livestock such as bulls, chickens, and cows to our original Kids for Kids goat program, because it has proven to be an extremely effective way to help.

Your donation to the Kids for Kids program provides the following benefits:

Goats: $50.00

Protein rich milk
Easy to care for and gentle
Meat provides nutrition
Income from the sale of offspring
Typically produce 2 kids per year

Chickens: $10.00

Eggs are a source of protein
Eggs and chicks can be sold for income
Chicken meat is very nutritious
Easy to care for
Hens can lay more than 200 eggs yearly

Livestock: $200.00 - $1500.00

Meat and dairy products
Bulls are used to establish breeding programs
Calves can be sold for profit
Steers are used for plowing fields and hauling supplies

Multiplication

The beauty of the Kids for Kids program is that it is full of multiplication! Each family or child that receives the gift of livestock gives the first offspring to another needy family. The amazing result is that from the gift of just one goat or one cow a new beginning becomes a reality, and the lives of many children, families, and communities are radically changed!
